a merry little christmas
This Christmas was very merry indeed! Once Chloe made it through her eye surgery okay, we could just enjoy the get-togethers and good times! I got furniture and decorations for our new house, a pressure cooker, and whatever else I bought myself that I told Oby he got me for Christmas :) Oby got a flat screen TV and a hunting jacket. Of course our parents spoiled us (but hopefully we're not rotten). Then as if all that weren't enough, we decided to get a trailer too! Then we realized if we have a trailer we need a truck to pull it, so we got a Ford F-150 too! I have to say, though, the presents are nice, but the best part about Christmas was being with my *healthy* family in our new home. We are amazed at the improvements Chloe has made. It is nothing shy of a miracle, and a testament to her strong spirit and the power of the priesthood. As nice as all the other "presents" are, when Chloe giggles (and snorts!).... THAT is the best gift.

Eggnog Turtleneck Party
This was a fun party we hosted this month. It was so much fun to see all of our friends in their o-so-festive turtlenecks. And there were some humorous white elephant gifts given! Oby's mom made some DELISH homemade egg nog (with her you never know if there was rum in it, but the way were all behaving that night.... rum may be the explanation!) There was a homemade wrestling video presented by Oby's friends, that was a side-splitter for sure. Starring Boot Stompin' Bill, Barbie, The Flamer, and others that I don't remember their names. Anyway, it was a fab time and I just wish everyone would have participated in the festive turtleneck contest, but some of our friends are just too cool for that. Just kidding. I love you all! Thanks for the good times. Same time next year?!?!
