Pajama Princess

Ok, I admit it. I have a problem. If I see cute pajama's at the store, I have to buy them. Here's a handful of Chloe's cute pj's....

Oh What a Day!

It started out in the swing. Any day you start out swinging in the shade, you know it's gonna be a good day!....

Later we headed to Nana's and played with Two Dot....

Then we went to PJ & Max's baseball game....

Chloe was decked out in her baseball cap....
And Aunt Taylor taught her how to be a cheerleader!....
Henry showed us his muscles....

And Will showed us how BIG he's getting!....

Flashback Friday: So You Think You Can .... { Pose }

Here are some hysterical pix of Oby and I posing. Oh my heck, the one of Oby is HILARIOUS!....

Oby with his sisters, Taylor & Megan
(There's so much to say about this picture, yet I'm speechless!)

This is me when I was going through a Cyndi Lauper/Tiffany stage

(My mom wouldn't let me dress like this all the time, but my friends and I would dress up on the weekends. Yikes!)

If You Like the Piano & Cello Half as Much as I Do, Then You're in for a Treat!

My friend recently put a video up of Jon Schmidt. Before I even watched the video, I was excited..... I love Jon Schmidt! He's a local piano artist, and is amazing. As a pianist myself, his talents leave me awestruck. I even had this song of his played and sung at my wedding. It's more of an anniversary song, but I still thought it fit with a wedding. Even to this day it's one of my favorite songs.....

Beautiful, right? Well, this next video is very different, but equally impressive. It's Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' meets Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida' with the piano and cello. Can't picture it? Watch the video and see....

Thanks Mandy for sharing!

The Greatest Fun Spot!

This past weekend was Memorial Day weekend, and in my family, that means.....

Get the RV's, trailers, grab your suits, and let's head to Cherry Hill!

Unfortunately, Chloe has had severe sleeping issues (which means Oby and I have also had severe sleeping issues) for over a week now. So we opted out on the camping aspect. But we still met up with everyone today for some swimming and good times!

Chloe had fun (of course)....

And so did everyone else!....

How was your holiday weekend???

Achievement Days!

Today I started participating in my calling as Achievement Days leader. Basically I just hang out with a group of 8-9 year-old girls twice a month, and do activities. Today we made cards for a couple people who need a pick-me-up and made cookies. It was lots of fun! Man, I forgot how much energy young girls have! I loved being around them and think I'm going to really like this calling!

Tomboy & The Beginning of a BIG Project!

Today I was at my mom's, and I was coming in and out of the house while Mom was playing with Chloe. I think my mom wants her to be a tomboy! First she was dressed up in a baseball cap with a glove and ball....

Then she was playing with a snake....

(don't worry the snake wasn't real).

I was thinking today and realized, oh my heck - it's been a year, I cannot believe it's been that long! Yep, it was almost exactly a year ago that I decided to quit my flexible, good-paying job so I could give Chloe the time she needed for all her therapies. Wow, what a change (details here). But it has been a good year. We sold our house and have been living in my cousin's basement apartment. And now..... time for yet another change....

A home rennovation? Yep!

Let me explain. My parents have been kind and generous enough to give my inheritance early. They have a home next door to theirs that they have been renting out for many years, but now that we're in need of a place, they're giving us the house. That's right, baby-sitters next door!

I know exactly what you're thinking: 'You're parents are giving you a house?'

Yep. That's what I said. And now you might have a better idea of why I spoil Chloe so much.

Spoiled is what I know! =)

Here's how the house looked this morning:

This is how we want it to look when we're finished (minus the gazebo and slightly different colors):

Today we started the project, and there's no turning back. First step: asbestos siding removal. Because it's a dangerous substance, we had to have OSHA-regulated company come to do the proejct....

It was quite a process. They were in masks and suits, there was red tape. It was quite involved....

Got Skillz?

So it's official - Chloe's got mothering skillz. She loves the dollies she got for her birthday. She gives them hugs and kisses. Well, the hugs are a little like a choke hold, but still - it is so cute!.....

And - drumroll please - apparently I have skillz too! I was accepted to be a member of several digital scrapbooking creative teams (more details to come). I'm soooo excited it's ridiculous! So you'll be seeing a lot more on this blog about digi scrapping, but don't worry, digi scrapping and pictures of Chloe go hand in hand, so if you're here for a Chloe fix, you'll still be able to get that!

So - a few of you have asked and I'm wondering how many of you there are who might be interested in getting some digital scrapbooking skillz yourself. If anyone in the Davis County Utah area is interested in taking a class, I'll throw something together! I'd love meeting you guys anyway! =) Most likely, though, if this class does happen, I'll do it in the fall when all the summer chaos slows down. Anyway, let me know if you're interested!
