I Stand All Amazed

We sang the hymn 'How Firm a Foundation' in church on Sunday. The words to the 3rd verse have always been some of my favorites, but this Sunday they struck a new chord as I recognized they were more than just words. They are promises from a loving God, promises that have been fulfilled....

Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

I could barely get out the words because I was overcome with emotion. I realized that His promises have been brought to pass through the goodness of others. Because the Rady family donated the stander, Chloe has been caused to stand.

"God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other." ~Spencer W Kimball

Thank you again, Rady family, for your service. You have truly been an instrument in the hands of God. Thank you.

Did you notice the latest additions?....

luscious lips

eyes with lashes

and a butterfly mobile!

Go cast your vote and help us pick out a name for Chloe's monkey stander!

And this was a picture from the other day. I went to lunch with my long-time pal Janica and her little boy. Chloe and Preston were wearing unplanned matching shirts!

Chloe has a little crush on Preston. Can you tell???

I love your post... it's awesome to see the way prayers are answered through the service of others! I voted Mable, I like the meaning... it reminds me of Mad About You... I think theirs was MABEL Mothers Always Bring Extra Love? I don't remember for sure, but I'm a sucker for stuff with special meanings!!:)

Angels and miracles are everywhere if we are willing to open our hearts and see them. The Rady's fit that bill. :)

I forgot to tell you that How Firm a Foundation is one of my favorite songs since my mission and has brought me to tears more than once!! I love hymns because they always touch my soul and give me answers to my prayers and I think it is the way Heavenly Father speaks to me! Thank you sharing that!

That little girl just makes me cry, she is so strong and works so hard for every move she makes. I feel guilty , how I take my wonderful body for granted.

I know I commented before but I'll do so again, in the spirit of TTMT. Do we have a name for the stander yet?

That stander is just amazing. I love it.

A blog I stalk posted this post
http://urbanfunnyfarm.blogspot.com/2009/01/more-random-stuff.html

I thought it was funny because I have to admit, I'm not sure sending a photo of her daughter in a stander was the best thing either. The Ukraine government might think we do torture kids that are adopted.

Mercede HATED using a stander!! lol Probably why she didn't walk before age 4.

What a wonderful family to donate it to you.
