When it RAiNs it POURS!

This weekend was a bit nuts. We mostly worked on our house rennovation project, and had a rough start to say the least. Friday night while I was in a room painting, Oby was taking down the old kitchen cabinets. I heard a loud bang. This wasn't unusual, so I didn't think much of it until Oby came into the room where I was with blood gushing out of his head. We cleaned, bandaged, and went back to work. Then more loud bangs, and Oby came with a giant hole in his finger from a nail hitting his bone. We decided he needed a tetanus booster, so he headed to get one and also ended up getting stitches in his head.

Saturday was pretty uneventful, but we were extra exhausted from Chloe not sleeping (at all) the night before. So it was probably due to exhaustion that everything took longer and had to be done more than once. Have you ever had one of those days?

Then this morning I woke up to get Chloe a fresh bottle early in the morning, with good intentions of going to church. But as I stepped into the kitchen, my feet were covered in water. Yep, a flooded basement. Thanks to my parent's help, Oby's rain gutter fixing abilities, and two wet/dry vacs, we were able to get the situation under control after a few hours.

Needless to say, today didn't go as planned either. So after our flood control was over, we headed with my parents to IHOP for breakfast.

Usually I have Chloe in my arms when we go to a restaurant, which makes eating difficult/impossible. But today was our first trip out to eat with the wheelchair. It was so nice for each of us to have a new sense of independence. Chloe loved looking at the menu and drinking ice cold water from a straw. What a cutie patootie!!!

How was your weekend?

Oh dear! You DID have a crazy weekend. Glad he didn't do more serious damage to himself. Ouch!

Good luck with the continued rennovations. Hopefully the little accidents are all out of the way.
