Lunch Bunch

I'm at a loss for words with this post.

It's hard to explain what a special day today was.

Ever since Ben passed away, I have had a heavy heart. I know Ben's got it good in heaven now. But we have been praying of and thinking of his mom, Becky. Boy oh boy have Chloe and I needed to give Becky BIG hugs and haven't been able to since she lives in NH all the way across the country.

But once "Mission Ben's Van to Junior" got underway, and it included a stop in Utah, I knew those much-needed hugs would be forthcoming.

Today we had lunch with Becky and our hugs did not disappoint....

Becky is filled with the essence of angels. I know Ben is with her, especially while she is still serving in his name. It was a heavenly experience just being around her today.

And lucky me.... Becky invited lots of people over, so I was able to give and receive many hugs to some very special moms and their very special kiddos....

Becky (Ben's mom), Julia (Arianna's mom), Me, April (Caleb's mom)
Emily (Hunter's mom), Erin (Charlotte's mom) and Bree (Bugg's mom)

If you need inspiration and/or perspective, click the highlighted names. You will not be disappointed.

Chloe was thrilled to meet so many new friends! Here she is with Ben's sister, Stevie, and Charlotte's sister, Ava....

And here she is with Caleb and Caleb's mommy, April....

It was such a special and even sacred afternoon. There was an incredible bond between all of us, even though it was a first-time meeting for many of us. As I sat in their midst, I was in awe of all their strength and the children's special spirits.

Thank you, dear friends!

We missed you today, Ben, but thank you for bringing us together!

I am glad you were all able to meet up! Next time, do it in SoCal, okay? ;)
