Traditions

Every Halloween night Nana has everyone come over before Trick-or-Treating for....

chili and jiffy rolls,

caramel corn and sugar cookies.

Izzy was downstairs with Tonio and got hold of the phone. She can't count to 5, but somehow she was able to dial 911. When the dispatcher answered, they probably heard an 8-year-old and 22-month old screaming, then a dial tone. Needless to say, they were concerned so they dropped by to make sure everything was okay at the Bennett household. And to think - she looks so innocent!

(Hopefully a visit from the police department doesn't become a tradition!)

Chloe and Zeke hung out while the other kids went to get some candy!

Zeke didn't go because, well, to be blunt - he doesn't need the extra calories!

They may not have got any candy, but Zeke and Chloe got

plenty of sweetness from Papa & Nana!

Then we went to my cousin Marianne's house to indulge in my family's Halloween tradition....

Homemade glazed donuts!

Krispy Kreme, lookout! Marianne's Donuts are delish!

Your family has some great Halloween traditions. I hope the police weren't too upset to get a call out to your place.

Love the Halloween traditions...and Your kids are too adorable.....

The 911 call...it's possible 911 was alerted if she was just pushing random buttons...when my 'baby"(who's 18 now) was about a year old she got ahold of the phone and was just pushing all the buttons...I think if a bunch of random numbers get pushed it directs the call to 911...the police were sent out. I know...it's embarassing. I got a stern lecture on not allowing them to play with the phone.

What fun traditions!

At least 911 is working :) My 3 year old learned about 911 at preschool and the teachers and I were joking about emergency services showing up at one of our houses. Luckily the message that you call only for an emergency got through. No visits yet (knock on wood).

Thanks for stopping by.

Chloe's hair is adorable! I love how you got it to curl right on top =) She has the most amazing blue eyes...

The famous 911 call! Every family should have at least one of those LOL!!

Love it!

My mom sent me some goodies, but no donuts. It looks like I am missing out on some of the finer things in life this year. Looks like you had fun.

AS A TEACHER AND A MOM, I'M ALWAYS OVERWHELMED WITH THE PRECIOUSNESS AND UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES OF EACH AND EVERY CHILD, AND YOURS IS AN ABSOLUTE ANGEL! SHE'S VERY BLESSED TO HAVE YOU FOR HER MOMMY!

Traditions are so fun! Yours look yummy!!! And your right, a police visit tradition would NOT be a good one to add to your list, LOL!

I'll never forget the day our house phone rang and it was a dispatcher asking what our emergency was. i was so confused, I thought it was a prank call. As I told my husband that it was the police saying that we had called them my four year old booked it into her bedroom, and under her bed. Bingo. They had learned it at pre-school, lol.

Happy Halloween! I want to come over to your families' places...we don't have any traditions like that!
