Elf is my all time favorite. I watch A Christmas Story atleast 3 full times every year.

I'm really looking forward to Four Christmases. I like both the leads and the previews look good.

I love Elf, the Grinch, and While you were sleeping... I haven't seen most of the others. It seems I never find time to just sit and enjoy a good movie.

Elf and Christmas Vacation are my favorites funny ones, but it's not Christmas until you have watched White Christmas and It's A Wonderful Life. I love Christmas!!!!:)

I have not seen some of those, but I'd have to add: A Christmas Story. And, did you have Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer?

Those are great!!! Great list!

No way. Tara you missed the all-time greatest movie ever made. It's a wonderful Life tops every list, especially the Christmas list.
So I'm mushy-- What can I say?
Also going to have to argue the case for a Christmas Story.
and A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott.
George C. Scott's Christmas Carol can coexist on the same list as a Muppet Christmas Carol.
And I applaud you for favoring THE Grinch who stole Christmas.

found you through SITS.. I LOVE Christmas Vacation. It is a staple in our family and I think I recite the whole thing word-for-word... but no one appreciates that when I do it. ha! Love your blog!!

Those do sound yummy!

As much as I've enjoyed the chilly weather I have to admit I'm done with it.

I need a 12 step program for s'mores. I've even made a couple in the toaster oven today.

I need heat quickly so they won't seem as appetizing, lol.

I think ELF is just about the sweetest Christmas movie ever! In fact, it's probably about the sweetest movie ever, in general.

Being Jewish, about the only movie applicable to me personally would be Adam Sandler's "Eight Crazy Nights." It's not on my list of favorite movies of any kind (I don't dislike it, but there are a lot of really GREAT movies out there), but I'm appreciative that he made it for those of us who spent our childhoods "looking from the outside in," so to speak. However, his Hanukkah Song just kills me!

You certainly don't have to be Christian to love Christmas movies (or Christmas, for that matter), so along with "Elf," I would have to add "It's a Wonderful Life," "Holiday Inn" and the original version of "Miracle on 34th Street.

The house Natalie Woods makes the car stop for is in my town, by the way!

Oh my gosh -- and "A Christmas Story'! How could I forget that?

I LOVE National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! One of the best parts of the movie is the squirrel scene....we're actually putting a squirrel (stuffed dog toy) in our tree this year to see if anyone notices.
