I've told my bloggy friends many times about the Christmas skirt I'm making for Chloe. Well, I've been working on it a few minutes here and a few minutes there. And suddenly I realized, Christmas is in three days!!! Better get the skirt done. So I decided to head over to my mom's house so I could use her sewing machine (which I understand better than mine - so far), and so she could help me with Chloe. Have I told you we call my mom Saint Bonnie?
(Chloe was having a bad hair day today. Her hair is a little out of control these days. It only grows in a mowhawk fashion and there's a slight curl to it. She had a hat on before this picture was taken, or I definitely would not have let her out of the house!)
Needless to say, I had an 'Ah-hah' moment while attempting to make this skirt. "Oh, so this is why people stopped sewing!" Let's just say it was a challenge. But I'm not one to shy away from a challenge, and with loads of help from Saint Bonnie, I was able to get a finished product that I'll be proud to show off on Christmas day!

Oh I just can't wait to see!!
How exciting!
I bet it's going to be soo cute!! Im excited to see it! I don't know how to sew anything...i tried to sew a button back on my peacoat...i thought i had done good! Until I tried to stick my hand in my pocket and realized I had sewn through it! Ah well!
Thats why I never started sewing.
Pretty picture.
LOVE it!! I've had a sewing machine for 10 yrs and have yet to figure it out!! I still don't know what possesed me to buy it, LOL!!
The greatest thing in the world is having parents near by who love your kids and are willing to help. I don't know how I would have survived without my mom close by when I was raising my kids. Can't wait to see the magic you and Saint Bonnie made with the sewing machine!
Oh my - that view - incredible. Good luck with the skirt!!!!!
