Kate Havnevik's 'Two Hearts Are Better Than One' from this Frito-Lay commercial can only be downloaded on her myspace page. I personally think the song kicks A.
Unbelievable - Sleepy Rebels
This cool song is on a JCPenney commercial.
Half Acre - Hem
Liberty Mutual's 'people doing the right thing' commercials rock. But not as much as this song by Hem that plays in the background of their most recent commercial.
Brand New Day - Tim Myers ft. Lindsay Ray
Target is right on target with this Tim Myers song. He is one of my current favorite artists. I like a lot of his songs, and this is definitely one of them.
Surprise, Surprise by Emy Reynolds was on a GM commercial. Sadly, this song cannot be downloaded. =( But you can enjoy the video! =)
I've been running at the gym in an attempt to get in shape for May's 5k. I just put my iPod on shuffle, and surprisingly Kid Rock's tunes get me in the groove more than anything else. I usually run a 12-minute mile, but when Kid Rock is on, I do a 10-minute mile - easy. I don't even know what the song means, but I'm pretty sure there's a subliminal message in there that says, "Run, Fatty, Run!"
My favorite performance on American tonight was Human Nature by Matt Giraud. I'm a sucker for the piano.
Do you have a favorite commercial song? Who did you like on American Idol tonight? What music/artist/genre do you listen to when working out?

Oooo I love music. Good to know that you can find music from commercials on there. I don't have faves from commercials right now, but found one on the Biggest Loser that was playing when Bob was crying about his team being broke up, it's by Daniel Powter, but I can't remember the name. Haven't watch Idol yet...gasp... not till morning, and as for work out songs the louder the better. Linkin Park gets my blood pumping!!:)
you have really good taste in music. except for that kid rock song - but i'll cut ya some slack! only cuz i think you're amazing and i luv you!
thanks for sharing all those!
I wish I could listen to those but I'm at work! I'll be sure to pop by again tonight!
I like to listen to Britney Spears and Pink when I work out! *blush*
I have to admit that since we have dvr I really don't watch commercials ;) I also have to blame my kids for my work out music but for some reason the Jonas Bros is what works for me followed closely by Dixie chicks.
I bought Royskopp "Remind Me" after hearing it on the Ge.ico Cave man commercial. It's got a great techno flair.
We've taken a break from AI after Taylor Hicks won, we are still in shock over that.
I work out to Disco/Dance music including one hit wonders, "Kung Fu Fighting" anyone? and Bollywood music by A.R.Rahman, also Old Time Rock and Roll like Bob Seger.
I think you are beautiful, so Not a Fatty!!!
very cool. I love the songs that play too on commercials. My fav has to be the free credit report . com commrecials. I laugh every time.
I didn't even know there was a way to find music from commercials! Sweetness. I really like that song that was on the Dell laptop commercial, I have no idea what it was called but one of the lines was, "I am green today. . ." That's about all I can remember other than I really liked it!
aha you are just like me when working out i like the hard stuff sometimes even harder than kid rock. disturbed marilyn 9" i know you probably go that far cuz of the swear words but i gotta have it so i know exactly what you mean
crap, tara, how do i gat those pics off of your blog from cheesecake? mine all turned out dumb. blog me and tell me how ;)
Oh I do like that first song. It reminds me of someone the Hubs has on his Zune...I wonder if it is the same person?
Love, love, love, music when I'm working out. It really gets me going. I just added a new play list with brand new songs purchased and I was actually excited to run 8 miles last week. Surprise, surprise. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, (okay, not really) but songs that drop a bomb (As in "the" F-bomb) or two really get me going. I don't know why. So beware if you ever borrow my i-pod.....unless you swing with that sort of thing. And in that case: Rock on!
We should exchange playlists sometime, just so we can have some fresh new songs to run to.
Oh gosh, I still have the McDonald's new fish song in my head because I saw it on someone's blog earlier!
The Science Channel uses a Dandy Warhols song called 'Scientist' in some of their station ads. It's a great song, plus they are a local band so I get all warm & fuzzy that they have national popularity. :-)
He is from Michigan-- we hear about him a lot here in the winter tundra zone. BAHAHAHAHA
I thought Matt did a really great job too. I was so glad America kept him in!
OK...that's it. I wasn't going to watch this season but everyone...and I mean everyone is watching and talking about AI. SOOOOOO I guess I will try to catch next week's show. I hear I missed a really good Michael Jackson night that included Kelly Clarkson who may have added a few lbs to her frame? Poor girl...I know how she feels!
Loved this post...you always pick out the best music!
