going in circles!

Our rennovation has been put on temporary hold. For the exterior updates, the weather has to decide if it's going to start acting like summer. For the interior updates, everything is waiting on the windows, and they're being installed not next Monday but the next.

So what have I been doing with all this time on my hands? Aside from preparing my playground presentation, I've been planning our home decor, of course! I don't know why, since I doubt once all the rennovations are done that we'll have any money for decorations, but it's fun to think about anyway! I came across the ADORABLE idea to update a simple white bedspread with pom poms, and I knew - that will be what I do in Chloe's room!....

Then I got thinking what I could do to take the circle theme and run with it. How about this gumball machine on a nightstand....

And vinyl circles on the wall (I could easily make them with my Cricut!).....

A lantern light....

Or this chandelier.....

So give me your honest opinions..... Too many circles? If so, I also really like this butterfly chandelier. Plus, hello, Chloe is my butterfly girl afterall!....

Or instead of the vinyl circles I could go with vinyl butterflies....

And if I do anything with butterflies, I've got to have a caterpillar in there somewhere also. And look, this one has little circles on his antenna and feet, to go back to the pom pom/circle theme!....

Thoughts? Opinions?

I love the butterfly ideas. But the circles are cute too! Two choices are two too many!! Really, I like them both, but I'm partial to the butterflies since my girls love them too. Good luck with it all. I hope the weather clears up for you soon.

They're all cute! I'd start small and add until you have the right mix. I think I like the butterflies better than the gumballs but I LOVE that pom pom bedspread.

You've peaked my curiosity about the playground thing you mentioned- where can I read more about it? I don't know if you know but my sister and I were the General Coordinators for a community-built playground in West Jordan that's the biggest playground in the State. We did it all with volunteers and raised several hundred thousand dollars. I know a bit about how to get people excited about a playground if you need any help.

Hi! I'm back online! And those ideas are adorable! I love every one of them! I wish I had redecorating to do too.

Chloe is looking like such a big girl now and less like a baby. Oh my, how time flies!

Personally, I'd go with both--circles and butterflies go well together!

I think that the catepillar is the link between the circles and the butterflies. Look at the catepillar- he's made of circles and turns into a butterfly. I think you could tastefully do all of them. I can just see the cute pom poms on the bed in the same color as the catepillar. That's just me and my imagination though.
I do love the plain circle theme too. What ever you do, they are all cute!

Hey there! I found you through digiscrap blog links and clicked over here from your other blog.

I LOVE the circles! It is so easy to find stuff to go with that theme! Even those bright pink butterflies go with it, their wings are very circular :) But I might ditch the butterflies altogether and go with the gumballs and caterpillars, they are just SO cute and not so commonplace... I'm kinda rebellious like that ;)

You've inspired me to think about decorating my kids rooms... only a few more months til we move again... then I can really go for it!

Anyway, I was encouraged by your blog and your sweet girl.

I love the circle idea! I designed my friend's little girl's room and did the vinyl circles. Why I didn't think to make them with my cricut.....I don't know!! However they were only 5 dollars for a pack of asst sizes at our Lowe's here and they had so many colors. I love the pom poms on the bedspread, the lighting.....all of it! My son just got a vintage looking gumball machine that is bright red for his birthday. Super cute and only $12 at Target in the "vintage" toy aisle!! Have fun and be creative!
