Ingredients

Let me share the ingredients for a sensational new year's celebration....

SiLLy glasses (idea from Make and Takes):

Snow-filled fun:

Snowman building (Hint: Don't use M&M's because the candy coating melts and will make your snowman look a bit freaky!)....

Sledding (Hint: For optimal sledding fun, have a snowmobile pick you up at the bottom and take you back to the top. All fun and no work is just my style!)

Snowmobiling (Hint: Dress warm, go with people you love and enjoy the scenery!!!)

If the adults won't take you to the sledding hill, grab a willing participant and make your own fun!....

Cherish the time you share with those you love:

Take time to celebrate little victories!!! (Usually when Chloe sits in the high chair at the cabin that doesn't recline, we have to put towels and pillows on each side of her to help support her, but this weekend she sat in it on her own! This made my heart burst with joy!!!)...

Remember that life is short. Seize each day and take every opportunity to say, "I love you."
(Thanks for the reminder, Uncle Jack. We love you and will miss you, but we are glad that you are no longer suffering)....

Thanks Tara for your kindness and a reminder of the little things that we sometimes take for granted.
We can't wait to see everyone again. We love you!

I'm CRYING! I know how much you LOVED Jack...but thank goodness for the gospel. I know he's in a better place. And I LOVE the quote "Don't cry because it's over, SMILE because it happened." Love you my friend. You're awesome. xoxo

What gorgeous pictures! I love the pipe cleaners glasses. What a great idea!

We're hoping to share some of those same "ingredients" during our NC visit.

I just signed on to follow your blog and Kidz. I really like reading your posts, they are so positive. I tend to be more of a downer, so it is great to read positive posts!

I can relate to a lot of what you write. I have a SN daughter, who is 7, has CP and a chromosome disorder. We have learned so much from her!
Happy New Year!

Looks like such a wonderful time together!! Also, that picture of Chloe sitting up so strong in that high chair is making my whole body tingle. What a blessing!

Tara - The first picture of Chloe is probably the only one I've seen of her without a million megawatt smile on her and, you know what? She looks so old! And gorgeous! And I can't wait to meet her one day.

I'm a bigger fan of warm weather, but this post just might make me reconsider. I'm now thinking a small getaway to the mountains about an hour ride from here might be in order. Of course, we've had snow around here lately and I might only have to venture out my front door to enjoy it but that isn't nearly as much fun!

Sorry about Uncle Jack. So glad he was around for the holidays before he passed.

I whole heartedly agree with your "ingredients" although I may have missed a few this year ;o)

What a great sledding idea! Now if I could just get my hands on a snow mobile!

It looks like a wonderful fun fantastic new years! We DID use m&ms for our snowman (before I read your post) and the exact same thing happened!

What a wonderful collection of photos and fabulous messages to go with each. Your photo montage of Uncle Jack is magnificent. What a contagious smile!

Chloe is the sweetest thing with those big beautiful eyes and that smile of hers that just lights up any room. I hope someday to meet her (and you) and shower her with billions of kisses. After all, she is my future daughter-in-law! Lucky me!

We love you!
