Chloe's Crush

Today we saw Chloe's neurologist, Dr. Lloyd. I've talked about how much we love him before. I had "shoot the messenger" issues with him in the beginning, since he was the one who explained about Chloe's issues. But I quickly learned to adore him. He's just a big giant teddy bear, who happens to also be a genius and specialist in his field....

Chloe loves him too. She gives him big smiles, laughs and kicks when she sees him. Today she kept sending him big kisses too!

But what she was really crushin' on was the white hospital bed paper. This girl LOVES the stuff. Check her out in the pic with Dr. Lloyd.... There she is with this man she loves, but she's still got an eye on the paper! What a silly silly girl!!!

We haven't seen Dr. Lloyd in about a year. He was so encouraged by all the progress she has made since he saw her. It was so heart-warming to hear that. Since I see her every single day, I sometimes miss or forget about the "inch-stones."

Dr. Lloyd has a 15-year-old daughter with issues very similar to Chloe. During most of our visit, we just sat and chatted like old friends about things our girls are doing, therapy we've tried or would like to try, giving each other tips. He is so humble and kind, I wish everyone had a doctor like him!!!

And I know you're thinking, 'Oh no she di'n't!' But oh yes, I did..... put David Archuleta's "Crush" as the soundtrack for this post. Don't judge. It went with the title.

Oh Chloe is so much like my son, he can't get enough of the protective paper! In fact, he loves any sort of paper, phone books, etc...

We have finally found, after 7 years, a doctor who we get that fuzzy, warm feeling from. I do recall most of our docs being kind, and of course the outstanding arrogant ones I find myself ditching immediately...

Well, anyway, who could help but be awesome to such a beautiful girl as Chloe?!

That is incredible that you have a doctor who is so great! The fact that he has a disabled daughter makes him so much more empathetic I'm sure. I often want to ask doctors "Have YOU ever dealt with anything like this, personally?". Chloe certainly seems to like him. I think the fact that he's wearing a hawaiian shirt and not a shirt and tie or coat, proves that he's amiable. :)

We too love Oia's neuro and even though there is always a flutter of nerves in my stomach on neuro appt day, I get so excited to see Dr. T. He is AMAZING! It is a good feeling, isn't it? Also, our neuro doc as a SN son which makes him an even better doctor! So glad this is one appt that you guys don't have to dread! ;0)

Ha! I love it - "inch-stones." Perfect.

What is it with the stiff, white doctor table paper? Wyatt laughs like never before when he's on those tables. Got to get me some of that for home!
