Remember to Say It

My heart breaks for my sister-in-law and her family who just got the tragic news that her brother was shot and killed just 2 weeks before coming home after a 2-year service tour as a medic in the military. He was on his way home from delivering Christmas gifts to an orphanage. He was loved by all and will be missed.

When I talked to my sister-in-law yesterday, she mentioned that last time they talked to each other and how she was so glad that she told him she loved him and that he told her too. Remember to say those words. I know sometimes we don't feel like we need to because those people know we love them. But.... you just never know what tomorrow will bring.

I read about this in the paper this morning. So sad! Jed (the dad) delivered Jackson, my little guy and helped me through part of Jackson's initial brain diagnosis as a baby. I'm heart broken for the family. His daughter was working for Jed at the time I was pregnant and we would always laugh together in our appts. I wonder if that is the same daughter who is your friend. Please pass along my well wishes.
