Utah State Fair: A Bennett Family Tradition.
Oby's fam is pretty much obsessed with the fair, but I think they mostly enjoy the roasted almonds and Navajo tacos. Either way, it's a tradition, and I like traditions, so I've been persuaded to like the fair as well! So when I realized it was the night we were going to the fair, I picked out the perfect shoes for Chloe to wear....

Next. My cousin;s husband, Doug, has been in the hospital for a few weeks now recovering from brain surgery. All-in-all the surgery went well. He had a tumor removed. It was benign (huge sigh of relief) and they believe they got it all. However, his recovery has been slow and painful and exhausting for him. I have a few pictures of Doug in the hospital, but it makes me too sad to share them with you. Here's a picture with Doug, my cousin Marianne, and Chloe when she was just a few weeks old....
We just love Doug and pray for a quick recovery.

Next. We sold our trailer for more than what we paid for it two years ago. It was bittersweet, but mostly sweet. Having money available to help pay for Chloe's therapy that is helping her so much is worth it. I'd rather go tent camping with my baby who can walk than have a trailer any day! Here are a couple pictures of the trailer, as a final farewell....
Next. See this ugly pine tree? It was smack dab in front of our cute house and I hated it....
Well, Oby likes to keep me happy (lol), so today he and my dad got out the chainsaw....
And cut it down!....

I'm totally raisin' the roof right now. I really hated that tree! But ouch, raisin' the roof hurts.... my arms are sore from painting all day. Yep, we still have projects galore at our house, but it's coming - one day at a time!

Looks like you have been a busy gal!! I haven't been to the fair in years!! Looks like you had fun, and maybe I should take my kiddos! So glad that you sold your trailer!! That is great that you were able to do that for Chloe... she is worth every penny!!:)
YAY about everything! I do hope your cousin gets through his recovery soon. I know w/ my mom it took awhile. (Hhhmmm)
You've been busy little bees over there. We missed the fair this year...hopefully we'll make it next year. I've been lusting after funnel cake forever now, lol.

It was fun to catch up on the goings on in your life. I always love your pics and posts. I was sad to hear about Doug but glad that at least it was benign. I LOVED your post and the info about ABM. I read the article and added her website to my favorites. I learn a lot from your blog and it helps me to be able to interact and talk about more with my patients and their families. I can't wait to start asking my special needs patients and their families about ABM. I have never even heard of it so thanks for the sharing. I love the fair! We went there on Saturday and I made the mistake of trying the deep fried PB&J, cheesecake and oreos before going on the Starship ride.
The food was not as pretty coming back up as it was going down.
