Chloe, Oby and I have been doing "research" for the playground, getting ideas from local playgrounds and children museums. It hasn't been fun at all, just research, strictly business. ;o)
Treehouse Children's Museum:
Miracle Playground:
Discovery Gateway Children's Museum:
I highly recommend this type of "research!"

That looks so fun! I want to come research with you. I'm sure my kiddos would love it!
I agree - hand's on research is really the best way to go! Love the photos. Looks a lot like the way we do things with Emma - Chris and I get all into the projects and fun with her so she can experience it with Julia and it's a lot of fun for all of us!
Chloe is a luck little girl :-)
Izzy loves the D.G. Childrens Museum. We went there about a week ago and I couldn't even keep up with her. Tonio still loves it too, him and my neice just took off and I didn't see them for about an hour.
Looks like so much fun! We just went to the Treehouse on Thursday, and I had forgotten how much fun it is. I'll have to check out the other places... never been there!! Have fun continuing with your "research"!!:)
Awww I love how Chloe is all smiles in those pics! YAY!
That DOES look like fun! I'm glad you've been to our playground. Just seeing the photo on your blog makes me smile thinking about all the kids for whom THIS playground will form a permanent childhood memory LONG after they've grown.
Thousands of kids will benefit from your project and you never know, it may inspire some of them to pass it on in their own communities someday.
Go check out the websites for Leathers & Associates (our playground designers) as well as Kaboom!- Kaboom partners with the Home Depot. Both companies specialize in Community-built playgrounds and have lots of awesome examples. Good luck to you all!
FUN! And I bet you're getting tons of good ideas.
Looks like you are all having a good time.
Geez, research must suck! LOL
Great research! And photos!
Search for Morgan's Wonderland and the blog Let Kids Play.
